I recently had the opportunity to sit down with the T3 Ent crew and get an inside look at how they do what they do. I must say that I was quite impressed with the quiet determination of the trio’s demeanor that produces original, unduplicated works with ferocity and fervor that surfaces as soon as the beat drops. Young Quan, tha Diva, and Walkzoggy came together in 2007 after a dream revealed their destiny unto Quan. Each member has a distinct and irreplaceable role in this dynamic. The trio grew up around music, and with it flowing throws their veins. 2007 was just the year that focus and drive married raw talent.
Young Quan, the label’s CEO and founder leads the way with a style that he proclaims is, “amazing, versatile and gangsta”. With production and writing credits already on his resume, Quan has plans to expand his brand into feature film direction and an alcoholic beverage. His leadership is strong in present and overt on each track. Quan guides T3 Ent via his actions and unyielding determination and perseverance. He hails from a family with immovable marking in the entertainment industry. The first lady of T3, tha Diva holds her own on tracks and in the boardroom, with a style that is a breath of fresh air in comparison to her female counterparts. Diva is already in the process of expanding her brand with a salon that will be operational very soon and a clothing line for women. Talking to her, I would have never guessed that she was admittedly leery of stepping into the booth for the first time; because when in her presence or listening to her own a track, you know that music is natural for her. Walkzoggy, the man with the beats began making beats on his home pc at the age of 15. There is no style that he is not willing or able to conquer. With a goal to have the greatest flowing over his tracks, the sky isn’t even the limit for this young man. Walkzoggy can also rap, draws his inspiration from the world around him, giving life to the artistry that surrounds us as we navigate our days.
With their (official) 2008 debut, “Changing Faces” under their belt, their latest release “Rymurder” shows their growth and versatility. The latest release has club bangers and social conscious tracks that will move the body, rock the hips and make you think. T3 Ent has had the opportunity to have DJ Dimepiece (101.1 WIZfm) host their debut, sharing the stage with: Young Jeezy, Jody breeze, Gorilla Zoe, Rasheeda and Lil Wayne. This crew will be hitting the road soon to open for Nas, while preparing for the release of tha Diva’s solo project, “Madame CJ Walker”. This October, there will be a release long in the waiting. T3 will be changing how you remember Halloween for years to come.
With no plans to lose their independent nature, T3 Ent is currently in search of a distribution deal so that their movement can span the continent as it has the Midwest. They came from humble beginnings and remain humble daily, each shouting out the other at every given opportunity. Accrediting family and their unity for their successes today and those yet to come. Tha Diva also gives credit and great thanks to her mother and grandmother for their guidance and support. I must say, this crew is a true unit and family, and there is no limit to where they will go and do.
