The outspoken ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star and author, Nene Leakes has confirmed her split from her husband of 14 years, Greg Leakes. The two have had their relationship and its dynamics documented via their participation in the Bravo reality series. Recently, Nene has been linked to NFL star Charles Grant and the arrest of her son Bryson for marijuana possession. Nene is fearful that Greg will disclose certain detail from her past as a stripper. It is no secret that the duo met while Nene worked as ‘Silk’ in a club located in Atlanta, GA., but there are aspects that the diva would prefer remain unsaid & heard.
Neither party has officially filed for divorced, yet Greg has indicated that in the event that the proceedings move forth, he will be requesting alimony payments. Amidst it all, Nene contends that she has no hard feeling towards her estranged husband and the two still have possessions in the home they share. Nene has packed on a few extra lbs due to this. On a lighter side, her son Bryson (who never became close to Greg) is her biggest supporter and she has begun filming at a local (Atlanta) TV station. She has also remained tight lipped about her relationship with Charles Grant. The 42 year old states that she hopes that the split will be nothing less than amicable, but she is bracing herself in the event that things turn ugly. She realizes that the details regarding her past life as ‘Silk’ may become a cash cow for Greg.
There is no word on how he son with Greg, Brentt, is coping with the separation of his parents at this time.
