According to the 911 call obtained by TMZ.com sheds light on the event leading up to the hospitalization and death of former child star, Gary Coleman. The call began shortly after Gary’s fall when his wife< Shannon Price, told the operator that she had blood all over herself and she couldn’t deal. She also repeatedly was heard telling her injured mate, who was (by her account) “out of it” to put pressure on his wound. While still on the phone with 911, Price states that she had not driven her husband to the hospital due to her own illness and fever.
According to Price’s very calm, non-chalant call, she states that she sent her husband to the basement to get something for her. She then stated that there was blood all over the basement and someone needed to be sent quickly because she didn’t know if he would die or not. She also admitted that she was not in the basement and would not return to the basement due to her illness. Price’s voice became agitated when speaking with her husband while still on the call with the dispatcher. Price further stated that she was feverish and additional stress would cause her to seize. Price also contradicted herself during the call. At one point stating that Coleman was conscious, and then stated that there was blood bubbling about his mouth. When asked to give her husband a towel for his wound, she said that she would try to find one for him and that she could not ask him to put pressure on his head due to the amount of blood. Throughout the call she stated that she didn’t want to die. Towards the end of the call, Price changes the directive that she stated that she gave her spouse. She stated that upon entering the house, she requested that Coleman get her something to eat.
Coleman can be heard in the background speaking to his wife between her yells at him to sit down and stare at the door. Price did not want to go to the front door to allow the first responders in due to her being covered with blood and unable to deal. Yet, Price was quite capable of keeping her dogs quiet throughout the entire call, for although she referenced them, they are not heard.
